L-R: Rich Wood, Mike Hogan, George Gelish, Mark Thomas Rockslide is a Long Island, NY based band of veteran musicians. Bassist George Gelish and Guitarist Mark Thomas were founding members of the Rockslide band that began gigging in August, 2002. Since relaunching the band with drummer Rich Wood in November 2005 we've been blessed with some great guitar players - Mike Ricca, Eddie Marconi, John Pizzicarola and now Mike Hogan. We like to think of ourselves as a "roadhouse" band in the great American tradition. We play a hard-driving blend of Classic Rock, Soul and Blues. We like to have fun when we play and it's important to us that our audience have fun, too. We often invite audience members to sing and play with us. If you come see us, feel free to ask. This current band is more "guitar oriented" than the previous version. Although the repetoire is still in the same style it's always been, the song list has evolved some. Mike Hogan brings his considerable six-string firepower; especially with his slide guitar. ...And Rich "Litl Buddy" Wood drives the beat on drums. The current band is also more vocal-oriented, with all four members singing. Rockslide plays mostly nightclub gigs but also plays parties, openings, benefits and other events.
