Guitar/Vocals
"I started taking
guitar lessons after learning the melody to "Yellow Submarine"
by ear at ten years old. Lessons were strictly Classical until
I was 14. This was when I had enough money from my paper route
(remember those?) to buy my first electric guitar.
My first gigging band
was the Dorothy Wallace band, doing strictly originals. Right
about this time I had an operation on my left ring finger that
left me on the D.L. for guitar playing. This is when I slipped
a slide over my bandaged finger and played along almost exclusively
to the Allman Brothers' "Live at Fillmore East" album
for about three weeks. I realized another dimension to guitar
playing that I never knew existed.
From that time on it
was pretty much cover bands in the Blues/Rock genre, playing off
and on over the years with Jim Moran (who I grew up with), among
many other awesome local players.
I joined Rockslide for the first time briefly in early '05 but
had to leave due to scheduling conflicts. Presently looking forward
to this second run with Mark, Rich and George with excitement.
